Upon graduation, your career opportunities are endless. Those with a mathematics degree are highly-sought after and valued. Employers understand the need to have team members who excel in technical areas such as mathematics. • Accountant
  • Advertising consultant
  • Actuary
  • Bioinformatics specialist
  • Business analyst / consultant
  • Business manager

  • Officer in the military
  • Operations research consultant
  • Physician professor
  • Software developer
  • Statistician

When you graduate with a mathematics degree, you are fully prepared to pursue graduate school if you wish to do so. Mercer prepares you for that next level through completing rigorous work, maintaining close relationships with the faculty, pursuing challenges, and finding new ways to approach problems. Many of our students use their newfound skill set to pursue higher education such as law school or pre-medical studies. Others have received scholarships or funding for post-graduate work, as many companies understand the value of further research.
