Mercer University’s Africana Studies Department challenges you to reexamine your point of view as you engage with history, politics, current events, and cultures from different perspectives. Majors and Minors

• Africana Studies (major and minor) — A major in Africana Studies leads to a Bachelor of Arts degree. Africana Studies students study the legacy of Africa and the African Diaspora and its impact on issues concerning race and class.
