Environmental Studies

Deepen your understanding

Mercer University’s Environmental Studies minor is an interdisciplinary program housed in the Department of Sociology. The curriculum provides you with a diverse course selection, joining the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities to deepen your understanding of environmental problems.

Our program offers a number of opportunities to apply your knowledge outside of the classroom. Some of our courses offer laboratory experiences and field trips to boost your understanding of environmental science issues and find solutions to real life problems.

A minor in Environmental Studies consists of a minimum of 19 hours. See all program requirements and course descriptions in the Mercer University catalog.
