Initiate global change
There are billions of people across the globe who do not have access to a high standard of living. Human security, living conditions, access to resources, and health matters are just a few of many issues that our global neighbors face daily. The Global Development Studies program aims to change the world through equipping you to make small steps that lead to big changes.
The program is a multi-disciplinary major that examines foreign aid, poverty alleviation methods, and the provision of basic services such as health, education, security, and nutrition. Our curriculum and hands-on experiences are designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to increase the standard of living across the globe. Upon completion of the program, you will be able to:
- Apply your intercultural knowledge to real-world problems
- Engage in global and civic issues
- Lead in a global context
- Provide innovative solutions to complex problems
- Think critically and objectively
Designed for motivated students
To produce change in the world, you must be full of compassion, motivation, ingenuity, and drive to want more for others. Our experienced professors will equip you with the knowledge necessary to help our global neighbors thrive. The Global Development Studies curriculum will open your eyes to the world around you, and our outside of the classroom experiences will challenge you.
