Explore the intersection of ethics and public policy
Mercer University’s Law and Public Policy major trains you to use ethics, law, and policy to address and solve complex problems in society. The major is an interdisciplinary program, meaning you will take classes from a variety of programs related to your specific interest in public policy and ethics. This major isn’t only for students interested in pursuing a career in law. Our program is designed for students concerned with a number of societal problems and crises, such as health care availability, climate change, budget deficits, worldwide terrorism, and many other issues. As a Law and Public Policy major, you will develop skills in:

Our program features small class sizes, providing you the opportunity to create strong relationships with our expert faculty. Our upper-level courses average between 10 and 15 students, and introductory classes average 25 students. We create a welcoming environment that enhances and encourages you to grow in critical thinking and communication skills. Our faculty are committed to guiding you to successful advancement through the program.

Outside the Classroom
