About the Major
As a media studies major at Mercer University, you’ll evaluate how media impacts our lives culturally, socially and politically. You will also cultivate real-world skills to bridge media theory and practice, creating and producing media video projects. The major requires 33 semester credit hours.

Departmental Honors
To earn departmental honors in media studies, a media studies major must meet the following requirements:
- A minimum overall GPA of 3.50
- A GPA of 3.50 in the media studies major
