Dr. Eimad Houry
Professor Emeritus of Political Science
Dr. Eimad Houry joined Mercer University as an assistant professor of Political Science in 1991. He has since served as chair of the Department of Political Science from 1992-2012, and then established and chaired the International and Global Studies Department since 2012. Dr. Houry teaches and writes about international and comparative topics ranging from regional studies courses like the Middle East, to broad courses like international security and international law. Dr. Houry is also responsible for an internship program in South Africa, The Religion and Public Diplomacy Minor, the Faith-Based Diplomacy Certificate Program, the Model United Nations and Model Arab League programs.
