Dr. Jacob Kendall

Assistant Professor of Global Health Studies

Jacob KendallDr. Jacob Kendall joined Mercer University in 2018 as an assistant professor of Global Health Studies. Previously, he taught social work at Taylor University in Indiana. He earned a Master of Social Work and Master of Public Health, both with an international focus, at Tulane University in New Orleans, and then completed an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in aging studies at Tulane. Dr. Kendall’s teaching interests include global and public health, epidemiology, demography, noncommunicable diseases and aging, dying and death, vulnerable populations, and mental health. His current research is focused on aging, living arrangements, migration, and religion in rural Malawi.
