Dr. Benjamin James Hoyt
Assistant Professor of Political Science
Dr. Benjamin James Hoyt joined Mercer University in 2022 as a visiting instructor of political science and was appointed to the position of assistant professor in 2023. He taught previously at Chapman University. His research deals with applied political theory, the psychology of civic education, and the history of political thought. He teaches courses on American politics and the ethics of law and public policy.
